Founder's Story

The woman who kept showing up.

Behind House of Hope is the story of Malvis Ayaba — a woman who chose children long before the work was easy, visible, or fully supported.

Malvis Ayaba

As Founder and Managing Director, Malvis has carried the orphanage through difficult seasons. What started with a small group of children grew into a home that has cared for as many as 87 children over the years.

Serious illness has taken her to India four times in five years for treatment. Her health journey has placed heavy pressure on the orphanage — but it has also revealed the truth behind the work.

House of Hope cannot depend on one person's strength forever. The children need a wider circle of support.

They need friends, partners, donors, churches, companies, diaspora communities, and people of conscience who understand that when a caregiver becomes weak, the children must not be forgotten.

Supporting House of Hope today means helping the home continue even in a season of deep personal and operational strain.
