A home built from a community's conviction.
House of Hope Orphanage Ngyen Mbo was founded by Malvis Ayaba, with support from her sons McKevin Ayaba and Sama Ayaba, out of a simple belief that no child should be left alone when a community still has the power to care.
From a small beginning to 61 children today.
What began with a small group of children grew into a home that has supported many vulnerable children over the years. At one point, House of Hope cared for 87 children. Today, 61 children remain in care.
The number changed, but the mission did not. Every child still needs food. Every child still needs school. Every child still needs a safe place to sleep. Every child still needs someone to believe that their future is worth fighting for.
Why Ngyen Mbo
A small village with a large responsibility.
Ngyen Mbo sits in Momo Division, about 20 minutes from Bamenda and less than 10 minutes from Mbengwi. It is rural, close-knit, and the kind of place where a single home can change the shape of a generation.
Mission
To provide vulnerable children with food, shelter, education, healthcare and the dignity of a permanent home.
Vision
A generation of children in the North West Region who grow up safe, educated, and prepared to lead their communities.
Values
Dignity, transparency, consistency, and the conviction that care must become daily action — not a promise.
